The Abstract Image, juried by Adam Finkleston, opens May 6 and runs through May 28 at the SE Center for Photography in Greenville, South Carolina. Opening reception is Friday, May 6 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Val Mirage 2, a digital photograph from the Robert Koss Smash-up, Mash-up series, was selected for the show and is featured on the cover of the catalog.

The abstract photographs explore non-representational imagery, from found objects in nature, man made or figurative works. Images that do not attempt to represent external reality, but seek to achieve its effect using shapes, forms, colors, and textures.
