It is currently experiencing a revival as more and more specialized donut shops continue to spring up around the country offering unique flavor combinations. The history of the donut is linked to the United States making the dessert a classic American icon.

Please join me at the opening reception for the City of Santa Clarita’s newest exhibit, “Donuts” on Wednesday, June 6, 2018, from 7 to 9 p.m., at  Santa Clarita City Hall. The First Floor Gallery at City Hall is located at 23920 Valencia Boulevard in Santa Clarita, California.

The reception comes with dessert (guess what?),  entertainment, and the opportunity to meet the artists and socialize with like-minded art lovers.

Art displayed in this exhibit features, highlights, or uses the donut as a design element in the piece. All types of art are included in the exhibition including paintings, photography, and sculpture, said Barber. 

The exhibit will be on display from June 5, 2018 to July 13, 2018.
